Sydney Town Hall platform - August 2012

In City Steel contracted to Traditional Stone Masonary for the installation of a 55 tonne access platform braced to the base of the famous landmark clock tower at Sydney Town Hall, George Street. The work included closing the busiest stretch of City road in the country for an entire weekend whilst a 90T crane lifted the components into place. This important piece of Australian history is now receiving a stone facelift so it will shine for another 150 years.

In City Steel provided major structural steel and crash deck for the reconstruction of the King Street Shopping Centre in Sydney’s CBD.

Coogee Boys Preparatory School

A new 3 level building at the Prep School required a curved steel roof and internal staircase. The innovative design was an exciting challenge for the team.

This new building required a steel roof platform complete with metal privacy screening to house the building services plant and equipment.
